How to Apply
The VCIT Program is highly applicable to Toronto Metropolitan University final-year undergraduate students OR recent Toronto Metropolitan University Graduates (graduated on or after April 2021) in BioMedical Engineering, Medical Physics, Computer Science/Engineering, Biomedical Sciences, Applied Mathematics and/or in any MedTech related program of studies interested in MedTech, including Digital Health, Software as a Medical Device (SaMD), or AI/ML.
To apply for the VCIT, you must:
1. Be currently enrolled as a final-year undergraduate student at Toronto Metropolitan University OR a recent graduate from Toronto Metropolitan University (on or after April 2021)
2. Be between the ages of 17 to 29 at the time of application.
3. Be available to take on a full-time four-month internship from January 2022 (minimum $10k total salary)
How to Apply
- Confirmation of eligibility:
a. Undergraduate students: Provide confirmation that you will be graduating by December 31, 2021. For this you need to "Application to Graduate" through RAMSS, and attach the confirmation proof in the application form.
b. Recent Graduates: Provide confirmation that you graduated from Toronto Metropolitan University on or after April 2021.
2. Resume/CV
Prepare a resume to submit to industry partners. We recommend that you connect with your Career Centre and have your resume fully reviewed by a Career Consultant. Applications with poor-quality resumes will be rejected. Save this as a “LastName, FirstName.pdf” file.
a. Contact Information:
i. Remove specific home address, email, and phone #. Resume circulated widely.
ii. Only include City, Province (Toronto, ON).
b. Key Item to include: Project management knowledge/experience
c. Industry prefers Resumes over CV.
3. Pitch Yourself! (650 characters)
The purpose of a pitch is to describe yourself and your abilities to prospective employers. You want to give your potential employer a quick sense of who you are and a few strengths that you have to offer.
4. Behavioural Question (1 min video)
In a one minute video, please briefly introduce yourself and answer the following question: If your manager asks you to complete or do a task/project and you don’t know how to do it, what do you do? (please do not edit the video - needs to be a simple recording)

To apply for the VCIT, you must:
1. Be currently enrolled as a final-year student AND a registered iBEST Trainee
2. Be between the ages of 17 to 29 at the time of application.
3. Be available to take on a full-time four-month internship from January 2022 (minimum $10k total salary)
How to Apply

a. Undergraduate AND Course-Based Graduate students: Provide confirmation that you will be graduating by December 31, 2021.
b. Thesis-based Graduate students: have your supervisor confirm in writing that you will have completed your coursework and research activities related to your thesis by December 31, 2021.
c. Recent Graduates: Provide confirmation that you graduated on or after April 2021.
