The Talent Accelerator accelerates Canada's priority industries' access to new and expert talent through our novel programs and platforms

CURRENT PROGRAMS 

The MedTech Talent Accelerator helps talent transition from post-secondary institutions into the MedTech industry. Through connecting talent with medical technology companies across Canada, the MedTech Talent Accelerator fosters real-world innovation, mentorship, and career opportunities. 

Funding received to date totals $3 million, including $1.65 million from the first-ever NSERC CREATE program, $450,000 from the TMU-CREATE Match, and $906,000 from the Ontario Skills Development Fund.

BioHubNet is a national talent development program designed to produce industry-ready highly qualified personnel (HQP) for Canada’s biomanufacturing and pandemic preparedness sectors. Through industry-led, credentialed training and experiential learning, BioHubNet equips a diverse range of HQP with the skills needed to drive innovation in precision intervention, process innovation, and health intelligence. 


Funding received to date totals $18.98M from the Canada Biomedical Research Fund (CBRF) for Talent Training.

The Digital Growth Marketing Talent Accelerator, hosted at Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU), is designed for businesses to elevate their growth marketing strategies. Through expert-led sessions, hands-on workshops, and small-group coaching, business participants will learn to build data-driven marketing strategies, leverage AI and automation to scale campaigns, optimize websites for conversion, and much more. 

Funding received to date total $325,000 from IRAP-NRC.

PREVIOUS PROGRAMS

The LifeSciences Talent Accelerator is a training and transition program designed to launch the next generation of industry-ready talent for the Canadian Life Sciences sector. Talent will participate in live seminars, complete training courses, and gain hands-on experience through an immersive role-playing training environment. 

Funding received to date totals $1.15M from Ontario Skills Development Fund.


Partners 

The BReady Talent Platform is a virtual marketplace connecting talent with employers hiring for tech and business roles in Brampton. Focused on helping new immigrants, recent graduates, and individuals from racialized communities gain meaningful employment, the platform will match candidate profiles with relevant employers hiring for full-time roles, allowing talent a new way to passively job hunt.


Funding receive to date totals $1.5 million from Ontario Skills Development Fund.


Partners 

The TechTalent Accelerator  is a training and transition program designed to launch the next generation of industry-ready talent for the Canadian Technology sector.  The program is a collaboration between Toronto Metropolitan University, CompTIA (Computing Technology Industry Association; Largest IT/Tech industry association in the world), and its member companies.

Funding receive to date totals $525,000, including $350,000 from Ontario Skills Catalyst Fund and $175,000 from CompTIA Donation.
